Meet Issy: Mobile OT for kids

Issy is an empathetic and thoughtful occupational therapist who enjoys working collaboratively with children and their families to support meaningful participation in everyday life. She completed her Master of Occupational Therapy (Practice) at La Trobe University and has experience supporting children across a range of developmental profiles within community and clinic-based settings.

Issy takes an interest-based, child-led, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy. She focuses on supporting emotional regulation, self-advocacy, sensory processing, and daily living skills, and values working closely with families through parent coaching and collaboration. She is particularly passionate about creating therapy experiences that are holistic, respectful, and grounded in each child’s strengths and interests.

Issy believes strongly in creating a safe, fun, and supportive therapeutic environment for both children and their families. She integrates evidence-based practice with warmth and creativity, adapting sessions to meet each child where they are. 

Issy is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed additional training in emotional regulation, toileting, and responsive feeding. She continues to build her clinical skills through reflective practice and lifelong learning.

Outside of work, Issy enjoys baking sourdough, reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.
