Meet Payel: Mobile Speech Therapist for kids
Available across Inner South-East Melbourne and Bayside suburbs
Payel is a strengths-based, child-led Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting children and young people to communicate in ways that feel authentic, safe, and empowering for them. She takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach and values connection, trust, and collaboration as the foundation for meaningful therapy.
Payel has experience working across private practice, telehealth, and the public health setting, supporting neurodivergent children and young people with a wide range of communication profiles. She is particularly passionate about honouring each client’s unique communication style — whether that’s through spoken language, AAC, gesture, or a combination — and supporting clients to better understand themselves and their strengths.
Payel strongly believes in connection over compliance, and prioritises creating therapy environments where children feel emotionally safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Her sessions are playful, affirming, and tailored to each child’s interests and needs.
She enjoys supporting late talkers and toddlers with language delays, young children with speech sound delays, and neurodivergent children, including Gestalt Language Processors.
Outside of work, Payel loves to sing, dance, play board games, and curl up with a good book.
